Fewer People Using Hotel Room Service
The use of hotel room service is on the decline. Fewer than 25% of people responding to a poll by GO Airport Express say they order meals for delivery from the hotel's restaurant when they travel.
Other findings:
- 35% never order room service.
- 40% say it's an option they "rarely use."
- 18% "sometimes" take room service.
- Less than 5% are regular users.
The use of room service is the same among business travelers and those on leisure trips.
GO Airport Express President John McCarthy says 23% is still a significant number of guests who use room service, so hotels would be wise to not discontinue it.
