The remarkable sellout streak that the Boston Red Sox had going ended on Wednesday night, with a loss to the Orioles.

The number of total fans that showed up for Wednesday night's game against Baltimore was 30,862 - the capacity for night games at Fenway is 37,493, according to ESPN.

It doesn't come as a big surprise, as many believed that after last season the Red Sox might see the streak end due to a lack of interest in the team. It ended much more quickly than some anticipated, however. Despite gimmicks laid out at Fenway to get people in the seats, it didn't seem to help.

The streak lasted 820-games, and began back in 2003.
