Female Veterans Memorial Proposed

A New Bedford city council committee has started the wheels turning to create a monument in the city to honor female veterans. 

The committee listened to input from about 20 people and the committee agreed to have the monument located at Fort Tabor Park.  A fund-raising committee was also recruited.  Committee Chairman Bruce Duarte hopes to get the memorial constructed within the next year. The group will meet again next month
