Federal Agencies Discuss New Bedford’s Offshore Wind Involvement

Mayor Jon Mitchell, along with Congressman William Keating co-chaired a meeting Wednesday afternoon, inviting representatives from over a dozen federal agencies stationed throughout the area.
The discussion revolved around the much-anticipated Marine Commerce Terminal Project in the South End, and what resources can be pooled from the collective agencies.
Congressman Keating says cooperation with key federal components can greatly influence the success of the project.

The meeting was one of what could be a series of get-togethers, with officials hammering out obstacles and opportunities that may arise as the project progresses.
