Feast of the Blessed Sacrement Gets Underway This Weekend

The 99th annual Feast of the Blessed Sacrement is being held this weekend in New Bedford. It’s a four day festival celebrated at Maderia Field that features madeiran portuguese culture, food and entertainment.

Among the feasts’s highlights besides the carne d’espeto and madeiran wine are the 5 k road race on Saturday at 10 am and the Feast parade that steps off from Brooklawn Park at 2 pm.
