The Federal Bureau of Investigation is teaming with Taunton Police in the hunt for the "Christmas Eve Bandit."  The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect entered the First Citizens Federal Credit Union on Winthrop Street in Taunton on December 24th, armed with an assault rifle that the FBI says was possibly an assault rifle.

The FBI says the suspect yelled "Merry Christmas" and then an obscenity before ordering the tellers to fill a black duffel bag with money.

When an employee near the drive-up window moved, the suspect fired a shot into a wall.  The age and race of the suspect are unknown.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (617) 742-5533 or the Taunton Police Department at (508) 821-1475.  Tips can also be electronically submitted at tips.fbi.gov.
