Farrell Wins Planning Board Recount In Fairhaven

The first of two recounts in Fairhaven is over. 

John Farrell has won the one year, unexpired term on the Fairhaven Planning Board, defeating Cathy Melanson by 14 votes.  On election night, the margin was ten votes. 

Melanson, a Fairhaven  businesswoman, makes no apologies for seeking the recount.....

Melanson says she will probably seek public office again. 

Farrell did not attend the recount and could not be reached for comment. 

A recount for a seat on the Board of Health takes place Tuesday night at 6pm in the auditorium at Fairhaven Town Hall.
