Authorities say 36 people were transported to the hospital and as many as 50 others were treated  or evaluated at the scene during an electric dance music (EDM) show featuring Swedish disc jockey Avicii at the TD Garden in Boston.

Boston EMS Deputy Superintendent Mike Bosse says all of the patients' symptoms were minor. He says all of those transsported and treated appeared to be between 16 and 25 years old.

Bosse blamed alcohol and drug use for Wednesday night's problems. But some concert-goers blamed oppressive heat inside the arena.

A spokeswoman for concert promoter Live Nation said early reports indicate a majority of those taken to the hospital were people outside who were too intoxicated to be allowed inside.
