Family Dollar Robbed At Gunpoint

New Bedford Police are investigating after an armed robbery at the Family Dollar at 139 Hathaway Road.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that two men, one with a handgun, entered the store at 10 p.m. Saturday and demanded cash before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Vicente says the employees in the store weren't harmed.

The suspect with the gun was described as a dark skinned male in his late 20's to early 30's with a medium build between 5'2 and 5'4. He had a mustache and short beard and was wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black nit hat.

The second suspect is described as a dark skinned male with a thin build standing between 5 foor 10 and 6 feet. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, dark jeans, and a scream mask.
