A Fall River woman will be sentenced next month after being found guilty of voluntary manslaughter.

Thirty-nine year old Adrienne Brown was convicted Friday in Fall River Superior Court in the stabbing death of Brian Jones in May of 2015, following an argument outside her Third Street residence.

Brown testified that she stabbed Jones in self defense. Some witnesses claimed Jones had a beer bottle in one hand during the argument, and had threatened to slice the throat of Brown's daughter.

Judge Raymond Veary set March 3rd for sentencing. According to the Herald News, Brown could face between 8 and 20 years in state prison.
