Fall River Woman Celebrates $1 Million Lottery Win

A Fall River woman has a million reasons to smile following a big lottery win.

The Massachusetts State Lottery says Claudette Raposa is the second “$1,000,000 Holiday Bonus” instant game $1 million grand prize winner.

Raposa decided to go with the annuity option and received her first of 20 annual payments of $50,000 before taxes.

Fall River Gas, located at 338 Quarry St. in Fall River, will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Raposa told lottery officials she plans to take a vacation and buy a new car.
