Fall River Police Investigating Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Accident

FALL RIVER — A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Fall River.

Police in Fall River responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the area of Highland Avenue and Prospect Street at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, police found a female in her 40s suffering from serious injuries. The woman was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police say the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and has been interviewed by officers as part of the investigation. The identity of the driver is not being released at this time.

The female victim remains hospitalized in critical condition. Her identity is also being withheld.
