Fall River Man To Be Charged With New Bedford Robbery

A Fall River man will be charged with an armed robbery in New Bedford. 

Det. Capt. Steve Vicente tells WBSM News, 19 year old Glenn Ortiz was arrested this week in Fall River for two robberies there. 

Police say in one instance, he fired a gun at witnesses who were following him. 

The New Bedford robbery happened on April 23rd at the 7-11 store on Rockdale Avenue.  The suspects got away with cash and cigarettes. 

Investigators beleive one of those men was Glenn Ortiz.  He'll be charged with armed robbery while masked.  The second suspect is still at large.
