Fall River Man to be Arraigned on Murder Charge Today

FALL RIVER - A Fall River man is being arraigned on a murder charge Tuesday.

26-year-old Scott Rego is accused of killing his girlfriend, Kristina Reis, who was found on the porch of their Linden Street home in Fall River on May 22, bleeding from apparent stab wounds. She was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Rego also sustained injuries which allegedly occurred as he stabbed Reis. He was arrested at Rhode Island Hospital on May 23.

Rego was arraigned Friday afternoon in Providence on a fugitive from justice charge where he waived extradition.

Rego will be arraigned Tuesday on the murder charge in Fall River Superior Court.
