PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — A Fall River man was one of two people arrested on drug charges Friday in Portsmouth.

According to multiple media outlets, Portsmouth Police say that as the result of an investigation into heroin distribution in the town, detectives identified Portsmouth woman Cara Matthews and Fall River man Robert Langlais as suspects.

Portsmouth Police say that a search of Matthews’ residence was executed by detectives within the department, with help from the Middletown Police K-9 unit and members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. The search revealed large amounts of heroin, oxycodone pills, and packaging materials.

Matthews and Langlais have been ordered held without bail and are facing multiple counts of manufacturing, possession, and delivery of narcotics.
