Fall River Man Injured in I-195 Crash

A 47 year old Fall River man is listed in serious condition after his pickup truck rolled over Saturday on I-195 in Swansea.  According to State Police, the crash happened around 3:30pm in the westbound lane, between the Lees River Avenue and Swansea Mall exits.  Police say the operator suffered massive head trauma when the truck rolled over, and the driver was ejected .  State Police say the man was not wearing a seat belt.

He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, and his condition was upgraded from "critical" to "serious" Saturday night.  Police say there was no apparent sign of alcohol.  The crash remains under investigation, and State Police expect to release the man's name later Sunday.
