Fall River Man Critically Injured After Being Struck By Car on Highway
A Fall River man is in critical condition following an accident on Route 24 Monday night.
State Police say the 66-year-old man was walking along the northbound side of the highway in Fall River just before 10pm, when he walked into the right travel lane and was struck by a Toyota Avalon driven by a 59-year-old Taunton woman.
The Fall River man suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to Rhode Island Hospital. He remains in critical condition.
The driver was not injured and remained at the scene while police conducted an initial investigation.
