Freetown Police arrest a Fall River man in connections with two break-ins.

Lt. Steven Abbott says they received a call at 9:49 a.m. Friday that a man was breaking into a home on Highland Ridge Rd.

The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Shawn Blanchette, was apprehended by a responding officer.

Police then canvassed the neighborhood and discovered that a second home that had been broken into.

Lt. Abbott says a search of Blanchette's vehicle turned up a crowbar, gloves, and several stolen items.

Blanchette was transported to the Bristol County House of Corrections then subsequently arraigned at the Fall River Justice Center on charges of Possession of Burglarous Tools, Larceny over $250, and Breaking and Entering Daytime Felony (two counts.)
