A Fall River man faces numerous charges after being stopped by police in Fall River.

State Police responding to reports of an erratic driver headed eastbound on Rt 195 just before 10pm Wednesday night, pulled the car over in Fall River.

The driver, identified as 31-year-old David Mota of Fall River, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs, and was transported to the Dartmouth Barracks for booking.

During the booking process, police discovered Mota was in possession of about 243 small bags (about 24 grams) of heroin.

He's being held in the Ash Street Jail, awaiting arraignment on an OUI charge, two traffic violations, and charges of possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute.
