The Fall River Department had a very busy night On Wednesday as they had to battle two fires.

The first fire was reported at 108 Beverly St. around 9 p.m.

Firefighter Jason Burns tells wbsm that it was an electrical fire that crews were able to keep in check until Eversource arrived.

Before firefighters had a chance to head back to the firehouse, they were called to another fire at 20 Conanicus St.

"While we still had crews on scene there, there was a reported structure fire over at 20 Conanicus St.," said Burns "and when crews showed up there they could barely see the building there was so much smoke and flames."

There were some people still inside the Conanicus St. home when the fire broke out, but Burns says they were able to get out safely.

"There were several family members that were at 20 Conanicus St. and everybody was able to self evacuate or have some help getting out," said Burns.

While there were no injuries Burns says the three family home on Conanicus St. suffered extensive damage as a result of the fire.

"Flames had gone through the third floor, and I think they started a little bit on the outside on the first floor," said Burns "it ripped through the whole house and then obviously there's going to be a ton of water damage because of how much water was needed to get at that fire."

A cause of the fire at 20 Conanicus St. hasn't been determined.
