The Special Agent in Charge of the Boston F-B-I Office was in New Bedford Thursday morning.  Richard DesLauriers spoke to business leaders at the Fairfield Inn Downtown.

DesLauriers would not say much about the James "Whitey" Bulger trial or the Boston Marathon Bombings, but he did talk about the bombing victims.  DesLauriers says he's been meeting with the victims over the past month and a half, and came away greatly moved by their courage and perserverance....

DesLauriers said the week of the Marathon Bombings was the most intense of his life.  He praised law enforcement agencies for their level of co-operation with the F-B-I  during that time, co-operation he says that still exsists today.

DesLauriers says counter-terrorism, counter-intelligence and cyber-crime are top priorities for the F-B-I in the 21st century.

DesLauriers is retiring at the end of this month and will take a security job in the private sector.
