Extreme Cold Poses Serious Health Risks

The bitter cold is hanging on for another day throughout much of the country.  High temperatures in some areas are expected to remain in the single digits today if not lower.  That has health experts reminding people that unprotected skin can be frostbitten in as little as five minutes.  Frostbite begins with numbness or tingling and progresses to a loss of feeling in the affected areas.  The feet, hands, and face are the most susceptible to frostbite.
