The best way to protect yourself from the flu is to get a seasonal flu shot.  That's the word from Southcoast Health System's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robert Caldas.  We have all known someone who says..."I'm not getting a flu shot because i don't get sick."  Dr. Caldas says those people can still spread the disease.

Those at risk of catching the flu include very young children, people with certain medical conditions like asthma or diabetes, pregnant women and people 65 and older.  Dr. Caldas is also asking the public to put off visiting someone in the hospital if you have flu symptons.
