A man prosecutors say was with Aaron Hernandez the night the former New England Patriots tight end's friend was killed has been held on $500,000 cash bail.

Ernest Wallace appeared Friday in Attleboro District Court on a charge of being an accessory after the fact to murder.

His lawyer argued that Wallace was not a flight risk and wanted to return to his family in Florida. Attorney David Meier sought bail of $10,000.

Prosecutors said Wallace was Hernandez's ``right-hand man'' and sought $1 million bail.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the shooting death of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old Boston semi-professional football player whose body was found June 17 in an industrial park about a mile from Hernandez's home.

Prosecutors say Hernandez orchestrated Lloyd's killing because he was upset with him. (Associated Press)
