EPA Administrator Steers Clear Of Harbor Questions
Questions around the New Bedford Harbor clean up are still unanswered.
EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy visited a solar park in New Bedford on Friday.
When asked about the harbor cleanup, McCarthy steered clear of discussing any further Federal funding.
The harbor has been on the EPA's National Priorities List since 1982. To date, it has required hundreds of millions of dollars in public funding and is still not near completion.
The project involves removing harmful PCB's from sediment in the harbor.
