Employees Rally To Support Market Basket CEO

A group of about 20 Market Basket employees in New Bedford gathered outside their store Tuesday night, collecting signatures in support of company C-E-O Arthur T. Demoulas.

Demoulas' cousin, Arthur S. Demoulas is attempting to move "Arthur T." out of the position of President and C-E-O, in a family power struggle that goes back years.

Junior Lopes of New Bedford is a veteran who was hired three years ago at the New Bedford store.  He wants company management to remain as is....

The employees fear Market Basket will be a very different company if Arthur T. Demoulas is moved out.  They've collected more than 1.500 signatures in support of keeping Arthur T. Demoulas in charge.

A Board of Directors vote is scheduled for Thursday
