Elderly Woman Drives Car into South Dartmouth Building

An elderly woman has been hospitalized after driving her car into a brick building.

The accident took place near the corner of Dartmouth Street and Rockdale Avenue just before 3pm Tuesday. Dartmouth Police tell WBSM News the woman was in the parking lot of the Dartmouth Street McDonald's when she stepped on the gas pedal, driving her car through some bushes and into a vacant brick building.

The woman suffered minor injuries. The car, however, was significantly damaged. The brick building sustained minor damage as well.
