An Easton woman is facing charges of embezzling more than $100,000 from a Stoughton landscaping company where she once worked as a bookkeeper.

Lisa Rosa-Howe was in court Monday for a hearing after pleading not guilty in May to charges of larceny and improper use of a credit card.

Authorities allege she stole the money between 2008 and 2012 while working at Midurski Bros. Landscaping Inc. and used the embezzled funds for personal expenses, including restaurant meals, rental cars, hotels stays in Florida, and spa visits.

Business owner Matthew Midurski tells The Enterprise that he became suspicious last year when his employees said their company-issued credit cards were rejected at the gas pump.

The 42-year-old Rosa-Howe says there is "no merit to the allegations" and refused additional comment.
