BOSTON - An East Wareham man pleads guilty to possession of drugs with intent to distribute.

28-year-old Evan Lopes pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Boston Tuesday for his involvement what authorities say was a four-man drug and money laundering operation.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says in January of 2015, Lopes was found to have two kilograms of Methylone hidden in a woodpile on his property. He stashed the drugs for co-defendant David Landry, who was the leader of a small Cape Cod drug ring from 2010 until his arrest in 2014.

However, Landry continued directing Lopes and others from prison. Lopes had stored the $40,000 worth of Methylone at his home in preparation to sell it for Landry.

Lopes will be sentenced on August 24.
