School Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin will hold her second meeting with parents on Monday night to explain the turnaround plan for New Bedford High School.

State Education officials have declared New Bedford High an underperforming school and have mandated changes.  As part of a plan to boost academic achievement, the School Committee has adopted a plan that calls for replacement of 29% of teachers and staff members at the High School.

A meeting last Thursday afternoon attracted about 30 people.  Monday's meeting will begin at 6:30 pm, and will be held in the Parent Engagement Center at New Bedford High School.
