Wareham Police arrest two men after the discovery of heroin in an apartment complex.

Wareham Police carried out a search warrant on Monday at the Union Pond Apartments in the town, and found a man exiting the bathroom where a powdery substance believed to be heroin was scattered on the floor and on the toilet. Police searched the apartment and found about 14 grams of the same substance, along with three digital scales and several corner cut plastic baggies.

The man in the apartment, 33-year-old Callis Phillip of New York, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A Substance with intent to distribute.

Also arrested was the renter of the apartment, 63-year-old Ronald "Red" Gomes, who was found nearby. Gomes was found to be in possession of a small amount of what is believed to be cocaine, and is charged with possession of a Class A Substance with intent to distribute, and possession of a Class B Substance.

Both men have been arraigned in Wareham District Court.
