Drunk Driver Lives, But Friend Dies in Accident on Taunton River

Over the weekend, 47 year-old Anthony Rose, was drunk while negligently operating his boat and speeding over a protruding tree in the Taunton River.

Rose escaped with his life. His buddy, Manuel Pinheiro, wasn't as lucky. He was killed after being struck in the head during the accident near the Berkley - Taunton line. Rose was arraigned on OUI and negligent operation of a boat charges in Taunton District Court.
