Drunk Driver Being Arraigned After Hitting State Police Cruiser

The drunk driver who struck a Massachusetts State Police cruiser on 195 West on Saturday morning is scheduled to be arraigned today in Fall River District Court. Lt. Daniel Richard says 48-year-old Laurie Lacle of Somerset is being arraigned on charges of operating under the influence, fleeing the scene, and other negligent operating charges. Lacle struck a State Police cruiser working a detail near a highway crew on 195 West in Fall River near the Plymouth Street exit. The trooper inside the cruiser reported leg pain but said he would seek medical help on his own.
