A New Bedford man is arrested after police raid his apartment over the weekend.

New Bedfrod Police say detectives from the Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the first floor of 12 Warren Street Saturday afternoon. A search of the home tunred up 13 grams of cocaine, packaging materials, $2,350 in cash, and a loaded Taurus Millennium 9mm handgun.

Police arrested the occupant of the home, 34-year-old Jose Gomez. Gomez faces charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition, and improper storage of a firearm. He's scheduled to be arraigned today in New Bedford District Court.
