Drug Deal Broken Up at King Richard’s Faire
A New Bedford man was arrested in Carver after police witnessed him dealing drugs.

According to the Boston Herald, Carver police say 23-year-old John DeAndrade of New Bedford was selling drugs to a 16-year-old when police begain to question the two of them.
DeAndrade tried to flee and wrestled with officers before he was put in handcuffs. Police seized a baggie of prescription pills along with a small amount of cash and two cell phones found in DeAndrade’s possession.
DeAndrade is being arraigned today in Wareham District court on multiple charges including possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug and assault and battery on a police officer. He was released on bail yesterday.
The Carver teen was also arrested and will appear in juvenile court at a later date.
