The huge audience filling the Z seats with 'rebellious' silver haired teenagers was a throwback to the days of Dick Clark's American Bandstand! When the Crystals ran out on stage singing Do Doo Ron Ron, there was a collective time travel trip back to the days when we owned '57 Chevy's, rubbed Brylcreem into our DA haircuts and carried going steady rings on necklaces. What a dynamic concert Todd Baptista produced with four of the most enjoyable rock, rhythm and soul acts!

This was the first time performing before the Zeiterion audience for Jimmy Clanton "Venus In Blue Jeans" and "Just A Dream," The Crystals "He's A Rebel," Chicago pioneers, The El Dorados "Crazy Little Mama" and a twenty-two year-old Doo Wop protégé, Kid Kyle, who knocked off their bobby socks! The show had such great energy and three hours of oldies but goodies that didn't disappoint!

Todd Baptista is a hero for so many of these aging groups who were discriminated against during their heyday. As an author and advocate for many of the Doo Wop groups, Todd has made a lot of progress, both on stage and off, trying to right a wrong, and hoping to garner past royalties for these groups, who were all African-American. The awesome singing acts were met with standing ovations and screams for more, more! I hope!
