After what seemed to be a very public 'diss' to former Laker coach Phil Jackson by the organization, Celtics head coach Doc Rivers has decided to weigh in. While on SirusXM with Chris Russo, Doc commented on the Lakers treatment of Phil Jackson after they parted ways with Mike Brown.

The Lakers had been talking to Jackson, and out of no where decided to pull in Mike D'Antoni as head coach. Obviously it took Phil Jackson by surprise, and he wasn't the only one.

Doc Rivers told Russo that he felt that after all the work Jackson had done with the organization, he deserved better than that.

Whether you like Phil or not, he's won a lot of titles and I think he was owed more than that treatment, in my

opinion, especially that franchise

- Doc Rivers

Jackson is an 11 time NBA champion, 5 of those with the Lakers.
