Do You Favor More Federal Control of Local Schools? [POLL]
On June 7, 2013, the federal Department of Education announced its plan to ‘redesign’ public high schools across the nation through their High School Redesign Initiative.
This program brings competitive grants to local education agencies to redesign academics and instructional practices, and use learning time in more meaningful ways. This follows the natural progression of creating a national education system, because Washington thinks they can educate our kids better than we can on the local level.
This is just another interference from the federal government having a greater role in affecting local curriculum and culture.
