The discipline continues at New Bedford High School, following an incident last month where a student threw a chair at a teachers desk.

The student who threw the chair has been expelled from New Bedford High and faces criminal charges in District Court. Other students were observed on a video laughing and cheering on the chair-thrower.

Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin says some of those students have been disciplined as well....

Durkin said she would not spell out individual disciplinary steps taken because of student confidentiality.

The Superintendent is also investigating why she wasn't informed about the incident until a week after it happened. She says that investigation is ongoing.
