A group of donkeys is back home in New Hampshire after they were saved from a bear.

Nancy Ploof of Hollis saw the bear going after the donkeys on a street last week and jumped in her husband's Chrysler sedan. She was able to split the animals up and scare off the bear. She also got help from another driver and contacted the donkeys owner.

The donkeys are actually miniature ones, not much bigger than a Great Dane, and their owner says the bear either climbed over or broke down a fence to get at a tub of grain.
