Bestselling Author Diane Carey Visits Fairhaven

Diane Carey is author of several top 10 New York Times bestsellers, as well as, Waldenbooks, BDalton, and USAToday bestsellers. Diane Carey has penned over 50 books in various genres. While she is best known as Star Trek's top-selling author, Diane has also written two Civil War novels, several historical novels, multiple novelizations of TV and movie scripts, and seven young adult novels about teenagers involved with emergency rescue and law enforcement.

Her new historical novel titled, Banners, is the story of the Star Spangled Banner and the Battle of Baltimore, during the War of 1812, when Francis Scott Key wrote his famous poem, "Defence of Fort McHenry." Along with Captain Robert Glover III of the Northeast Maritime Institute, we chatted with Ms. Carey about her very interesting novel that is a fun and educational read!

Diane Carey will be at a two-day book signing starting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23 and 24, at Northeast Maritime Institute, 32 Washington St., in Fairhaven. Diane will be talking about her new book, Banners.
