Developer Arrested on Drug Charges, Repays Loan To New Bedford E-D-C

New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell is welcoming the repayment of a $225,000 loan made to a Duxbury developer by the city’s Economic Development Council. That developer, Andrew Rockett (left), was later arrested in Carver on drug charges. Last week, Rockett came to New Bedford and repaid that loan in full….

Mitchell says the loan was approved before Rockett was arrested. The Mayor says if changes are needed in the process used to grant loans, then those changes will be made.
