While many political analysts are speculating on the Cabinet future of Senator John Kerry, one person staying out of the opinion wars is Governor Deval Patrick.  In Amherst yesterday to watch a basketball game between UMass and Harvard, the governor was asked about what would happen if Kerry became a cabinet secretary.

Patrick advised caution, saying, quote, "he hasn't been appointed or nominated yet."  Patrick did say Kerry would be a great pick for the President's Cabinet, calling him, quote, "a fabulous public servant."
