Dept of Public Health Prunes Marijuana-Grower List

The Department of Public Health has made progress cutting down the list of potential medical marijuana growers in Massachusetts.

On Monday, 22 prospective pot entrepreneurs were dropped from the list after failing to pass an initial screening. 158 applicants remain to face the more comprehensive Phase 2 evaluation.

Ultimately 35 medical marijuana dispensaries will be licensed across the state.
