Deadly Shooting In Taunton

Authorities are investigating after a man was killed in Taunton Monday night.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says that at around 8:30 p.m. police were sent to an apartment at 103 Hart St. for an apparent shooting.

The victim, identified only as a 23-year-old man from Taunton, was found dead inside the apartment.

Taunton Police and Massachusetts State Police are involved in the investigation which the District Attorney's Office says is still in its early stages.

Officials say next of kin notification hasn't been completed and no further information can be released at this time.
