Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz has been sidelined since mid-July. It looks like he's still dealing with pain, and it could keep him out a little longer. Back in July, David Ortiz suffered an injury to his Achilles tendon. That has kept him on the sidelines. He could have been reactivated on August 1st, but is still experiencing some pain from the strain.

Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine had said that Ortiz was going to do a full workout on Sunday, but he was not able to. Instead, Ortiz received some sort of shot to dull the pain. The type of shot is unknown. It looks like Big Papi won't be able to workout on Monday either.
