Dartmouth Woman Arrested in Year-Old Robbery Case

Wareham Police have arrested a Dartmouth woman in connection with a liquor store robbery last year.

According to Wareham Lt. Kevin Walsh, police received information allowing them to obtain a warrant for the arrest of 40-year-old Windy Monteiro of State Road in Dartmouth. Police say Monteiro was the getaway driver during the November 28, 2011 robbery of Pepin's Liquors in Wareham.

Monteiro was arrested early Thursday morning with the assistance of Dartmouth, New Bedford, and State Police.

The male suspect who robbed the store at knifepoint is still at large. The case is still under investigation.

Monteiro is being arraigned on an armed robbery charge in Wareham 4th District Court.
