Dartmouth Town Meeting members completed their annual Town Meeting in about six hours on Tuesday.

Town meeting approved a $73 million budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1st.

The spending plan included hefty raises for top officials.  For instance, Town Administrator David Cressman will receive a $7,000 raise, an increase of about 5.5%.

Select Board member Michael Watson tells WBSM News, much of the budget is controlled by set costs or contracts, but town officials have been frugal where they can be.....

Watson says Cressman's salary is in line with what other Town Administrators are making in communities of similar size.

Town Meeting also approved spending $40,000 to have a study done on ways to make town government more efficient.
