Dartmouth Seeks Applicants For Finance Committee

The Town of Dartmouth is seeking applications from those interested in filling a vacancy on the Finance Committee.

Town Moderator Melissa Haskell says applicants should have a basic understanding of financial statements, are analytical thinkers and have a desire to understand the workings of Town government.

Haskell also says that pariticipation on the Finance Committee is a significant time commitment and Finance Committee members are expected to attend Town Meeting while also interacting with with various constituent groups in an interested and respectful manner.

“We are always looking for members who have diverse backgrounds and encourage applicants that have not participated in Town government before," said Haskell "if you are interested, don’t disqualify yourself. Apply.”

The nine-member advisory body is appointed by Haskell and those interested in the position send a letter of interest and resume by Friday, April 15th to Melissa Haskell, Town Moderator, 400 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02747.
