Dartmouth Police Arrest Suspect In Child Rape Case

Dartmouth Police have made an arrest in a sexual assault case involving a child.

Dartmouth Detectives on Wednesday arrested a former Dartmouth resident, 59 year old Clyde Souza at his Church Street Apartment in New Bedford.

Det. Kyle Costa says Souza was charged with two counts of rape of a child and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

Further details about the case were not released.

Souza was scheduled for arraignment in New Bedford District Court.
